1- USE OF THE WEBSITE
Purpose of data processing
Data processing is carried out for the purpose of enabling you to use our website to the required extent.
The use of additional components follows separate objectives in each case - e.g. carrying out user analyses, conducting guest surveys, sending newsletters for information purposes. The use of these additional components is only possible with your consent (either via the consent banner or directly on site by clicking on the consent check box provided).
Legal basis for data processing
The data processing is carried out in compliance with the legal requirements and is based on your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1, lit. a GDPR.
Types of data processed and data subjects
We process the personal data of visitors to our website (hereinafter referred to as "users"), who are considered "data subjects" of the data processing within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation. This data is provided exclusively on a voluntary basis and by the user himself.
This site uses SSL encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content. If SSL encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.
The website operator or provider collects data about access to the site and stores it as "server log files". The following data is logged and automatically transmitted to us:

Unless expressly stated otherwise in this information notice, the processed data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required for the intended purposes and there are no longer any legal obligations to retain it. The duration of storage is specified in the data protection regulations of the LTS (https://lts.it/index.php/de/privacy).
Data transfer and external hosting
This website is hosted by an external service provider (hoster). The personal data collected on this website is stored on the hoster's servers. This may include IP addresses, contact requests, meta and communication data, names, website accesses and other data generated via a website.
The hoster is used for the purpose of fulfilling the contract with our potential and existing customers (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR).
Our hoster will only process your data to the extent necessary to fulfil its performance obligations and follow our instructions with regard to this data.
We use the following hoster: Factory GmbH (Brixen/Bressanone, Italy).
2- TICKET BOOKING
You can book tickets to visit our beautiful valley on our website.
Purpose: The personal data requested at the time of booking is required to enable your access to the Valle di Braies (by private car or bus) and to reserve a car park for you if necessary.
Types of data processed: All data that you enter when booking a ticket will be stored. This includes:
- surname, first name;
- email address;
- payment data (e.g. credit card details);
- vehicle licence plate number
Legal basis: The processing of the personal data collected through the booking form is also based on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR) or subsequently on the basis of the contractual agreement (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR).
Forwarding: Data that is absolutely necessary for delivery or order processing is passed on to third-party service providers. The third service provider is to be understood:
- service providers who ensure the necessary technical functionality of the website or the booking process (e.g. Factory GmbH based in Bresanona, LTS - South Tyrol's regional association of tourism organisations based in Bolzano);
- private operators who provide some of the car parks (e.g. car parks P3 and P4);
- service providers who offer optional additional services such as newsletters or guest surveys during or after the booking process (e.g. IDM South Tyrol based in Bolzano or LTS - South Tyrol's regional association of tourism organisations based in Bolzano).
When activating or booking optional services, you will usually be redirected to the website of the respective provider. In any case, the provider of the respective service or the operator of the electronic platform accessed is responsible for compliance with the data protection provisions and the corresponding information.
Retention period: Your personal data will be deleted as soon as the service has been provided and any associated statutory retention periods have expired. In connection with the storage period, it should be noted that the ordinary limitation period pursuant to Art. 2946 of the Swiss Civil Code is ten years.
3- NEWSLETTER
On our website, you may optionally subscribe to the newsletter of the region 3 Zinnen Dolomites.
Purpose:
The personal data you provide when subscribing to the newsletter will be used to send you regular information, news, and offers.
Types of data processed:
Only the personal data you provide when subscribing to the newsletter will be processed, in particular:
- First and last name;
- Email address.
Legal basis:
The processing of personal data is based on your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future (e.g. via the unsubscribe link included in the newsletter).
Data sharing:
Your data may be shared with external service providers who technically support the distribution of the newsletter (e.g. IT service providers or email marketing platform providers). Such providers process the data solely on our behalf and in accordance with our instructions.
Retention period:
Your personal data will be stored for the duration of your newsletter subscription and will be deleted without undue delay after you unsubscribe, unless statutory retention obligations require otherwise.
Rights of the data subject
The data protection provisions recognise certain rights of the data subject in relation to the processing of their data.
In particular, the data subject may at any time request information from the controller about the existence of data concerning him or her, the origin of these data and the manner in which they are processed. The data subject also has the right to have his/her data updated, completed and corrected if it is incorrect or incomplete, to request the deletion of the data, to request the restriction of unlawfully processed data and to object to the processing of his/her data. The data subject must also be provided with their personal data in a comprehensible manner upon request or transferred to third parties.
